Fancy Feast x Paige DeSorbo: A Lifestyle Campaign Built on Authenticity.
Fancy Feast was a standout project for our team in early summer 2026, bringing together Paige DeSorbo, Daphne the cat, and Purina's premium cat food brand into a lifestyle campaign centered on authenticity.
The ask: a campaign that felt as personal and at-home as Paige's own relationship with Fancy Feast — visuals polished enough for a national rollout, but candid enough to feel like something she'd captured herself.
The challenge? Five concepts, one four-hour shoot day, and a concept that shifted midstream from a lived-in apartment to a full production studio — all without losing the intimacy that made the partnership feel real.
One month. A space that had to work for everyone — including Daphne.
With one month before the shoot, our initial focus was to find a location that reflected Paige's personal style while accommodating a 20-person client and talent team.
As the creative evolved, the concept shifted from a lived-in apartment to a clean, fashion-inspired cyc studio. While the backdrop changed, the heart of the campaign remained the same: capturing Paige and Daphne in a way that felt genuine, elevated, and unmistakably personal. We wanted to stay true to how Fancy Feast was a part of her life and find a space that would be as welcoming as it is practical — and what better studio than where RSP hosted our 15th anniversary celebration last year.
At Home Studios, we knew the space could support both the creative vision and the logistical needs of production. We designed the space for both efficiency and comfort, creating a private green room and glam area for Paige, along with a quiet space for Daphne complete with a litter box.
Five concepts. Four hours. Zero room to slow down.
With five concepts to capture in only four hours, we knew the crew had to be able to move quickly without sacrificing the look of the campaign.
The creative called for visuals that felt polished but still believable as something Paige could have captured herself. That created an important production balance. We needed the image to look beautiful, but not so overproduced that it pulled viewers out of the social-first, behind-the-scenes style of the campaign.
That decision shaped everything from camera package to crew. Instead of building around a larger, more traditional cinema setup, we looked for a system that could stay nimble and keep the energy of the shoot moving. The line was somewhere between full-package ARRIs and a lighter FX3-style approach.
Finding a team that could move like the story felt.
It also meant finding a DP and gaffer team who could move together naturally from setup to setup, shifting quickly between sticks, handheld movement, and Easyrig work.
After exploring two strong options, we moved forward with one of our longtime DP partners, Jonathan O'Sullivan, along with gaffer Jono Baudoin. We knew they could deliver the right balance: clean, elevated visuals that still felt candid, immediate, and true to the way the final content would live on social.
The FX9 on an Easyrig gave us exactly that. The footage had the movement and intimacy of BTS content while still maintaining the control and quality the campaign needed.
The footage needed the movement and intimacy of BTS content — without losing the control the campaign demanded.
Production built for a set that welcomed everyone — two-legged and four.
The day before the shoot, we transformed the studio with a seamless backdrop, curated production design, video village, and client hospitality. While the set came together, our photo and video teams prepped gear and prepared for the possibility that they might become part of the frame themselves.
For a campaign built around a behind-the-scenes feel, we fully embraced the nature of the shoot: fast-moving, collaborative, and designed to make the production process part of the story.
On set, our role was to keep communication flowing between the client, agency, talent, and crew while balancing creative ambition with the realities of the production schedule. Our video and photo crew worked side by side to capture candid moments, while an onsite animal welfare representative ensured Daphne's comfort every step of the way.
The teamwork extended across every department — from props and client food styling to wardrobe — creating an environment that felt authentic both behind the scenes and in front of the camera.
Post began before the studio lights came down.
Our work continues after production is wrapped. We partnered with the creative team through post-production, overseeing photo retouching and final asset delivery ahead of the campaign's fall launch.
From the first location scout to the final retouched image, the project was defined by thoughtful planning, adaptability, and collaboration at every stage.
A campaign that felt like Paige's own life, at studio scale.
From the first location scout to the final retouched frame, Red Summit helped bring Fancy Feast's campaign with Paige DeSorbo and Daphne to life — five concepts captured in a single four-hour shoot day, without losing the intimacy at the center of the story.
The final work paired Paige's authentic connection to Fancy Feast with Purina's brand across video and photography, ready for the campaign's fall launch.
